Final Project
The Lea Valley’s Institute for Self-Grown Food is a productive afforestation and compost farming project to give people space and time to grow their own food. It supplies London’s future food-growing spaces with planter bed lumber and rich, healthy soil while operating as a gathering centre for enjoying-, learning about- and growing food for yourself.
P2 Project
Squatters’ Garden manifests as an ecosystem of planters on an adaptable stacked façade, forming inhabited walkways for growing. The vertical framework seeks to give the local community of artists and squatters a megaphone to speak, protest the local landfill site, advertise their bespoke music equipment, express their creativity, fundraise, and above all else, grow food, plants, herbs, and spices. The vertical garden acts as open-source mini allotments, for people to plant, care for, and tend to. They can harvest, consume, sell, cook, share, donate, replant, recycle, or compost.
