Utilizing architecture as a tool, I strive to explore the intricate connection between built environments and the society they shape, uncovering insights and fostering a holistic understanding of social methodologies to curate specific architectural methodologies.
Final Project
By breaking down the food system within Bristol to gain a unique understanding of Bristol’s social and food systems, I uncover a new design methodology that strives to solve both social issues and create a new food system methodology through the utilisation of a curated process utilising innovative growth and harvesting methods.
The scheme is based on the robots that carry out the process, from GMO to automatic harvesting, these robots each feature unique personalities based on their task. This culminates in an architecture that serves the robots, breaking down the church atmospherically in order to find and create an atmosphere that heals the robots.
Bristol’s food system is struggling, with the methodology of food design changing over Bristol’s ever-changing focus of trade through to industry. By decoding and breaking down this system from a national to micro scale, I begin to define a new system that will move to improve Bristol’s food system.
Breaking down the church atmospherically and pragmatically to begin to gain a more holistic view of the site.
A view within the architecture showcasing the beauty of geometry and deconstructed architecture that showcases process.
Exploring organic atmospheres and parametric design in order to investigate a new food system for Bristol.
